Financial Year 2014 – 15 :

- Mineral e-permit Launch for simple and faster issuance of issuance of mineral
transportation permit.
- Online filling of mineral concession system through MeeSeva to promote ease
of doing business .

Financial Year 2015 – 16:
|
- Free Sand Policy was introduced. As per the Policy, the sand in Andhra Pradesh is
available free of cost for all people.
- MERIT (Mineral Exploration, Research and Innovation Trust) establishment
to give thrust on mineral exploration - 2% of Seigniorage fee is collected for MERIT
.
- Launch of M-Sand Policy for promotion of M Sand in the State .
- Establishment of District Mineral Foundation for social and infrastructure development
of mining affected areas .
- Total 26 MOUs signed during 1rd Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Summit and 22nd Partnership
Summit for total committed investment of Rs 8,955 Crores and total employment potential
of 12,690 .

Financial Year 2016 – 17:
|
- Successful auction of Limestone block. Andhra Pradesh became fourth State
successfully to conduct the auction of a non-coal mining lease.
- Total 48 MOUs signed during 2nd Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Summit and 23rd Partnership
Summit for total committed investment of Rs 10920.5 Crores and total employment
potential of 17975.
- Mines Surveillance System (MSS) implemented for Satellite based tracking
mining activity of major minerals leases in the state. .
- Launch of new departmental website to provide important information in public domain
.
- Increased transparency in the department of mines and geology through implementation
of aadhar based biometric attendance system, RFID based visitor management system.

Way Forward:

- Drone based monitoring of mines in the state for increased transparency in mines
vigilance activities.
- Promotion of mineral based industries for value addition in the state.
